Launch of the Chair “Modelling Economic and Financial Risks Related to Nature”
The degradation of natural capital — biodiversity, water, forests, soils, and oceans — now represents a major risk for the economy and financial stability. Yet these issues remain insufficiently integrated into economic and financial models.
On the occasion of the launch of the Chair “Modelling Economic and Financial Risks Related to Nature”, initiated by the Banque de France and hosted by the Fondation du Risque, we invite you to discover a research initiative bringing together École Polytechnique, the ENSAE-ENSAI group, CIRED, the Paris School of Economics, and the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity.
Bringing together a leading French academic consortium, the Chair will develop new tools and models to analyse the interactions between nature, economy and finance, and to help inform decision-making by public and private stakeholders.
This event will be an opportunity to present the Chair’s ambitions and initial research directions, as well as perspectives for collaboration with stakeholders engaged in the ecological transition.
