Partnerships Le Swave / ILB Swave is an innovation platform for fintech/insurtech based at the Grande Arche de la Defense and set up by the Prefecture of Hauts-de-Seine. This incubator, managed by Paris & Co, hosted its first start-up promotion in early 2018 and was officially inaugurated on 5 February 2018. In addition to the financing partners (Société Générale – first of the founding members –, NewAlpha AM, Crédit Municipal de Paris, Exton Consulting, Matmut, Mastercard, AG2R LA MONDIALE), Swave also has academic partnerships with Paris-Dauphine University and the ILB. In this capacity, the ILB helps to select fintechs for future incubation and helps develop their businesses. La Place / ILB Launched on 9 April 2018, La Place aims to be the meeting point for Paris’s actors in financial innovation, especially fintechs. Located on the second floor of the legendary Palais Brongniart, which was the site of the Paris Stock Exchange for more than 150 years, La Place is a new 400-square-metre venue designed to foster financial innovation and showcase the French capital. Financed by Generali France and Crédit Agricole, the founding members of this initiative included Bpifrance, the Finance Innovation Pole, the ILB and Paris Europlace. As a partner of La Place, the ILB organizes a monthly morning with a presentation by a researcher from the Louis Bachelier Network. BANQUE DE FRANCE / ILB Over the last few years, the ILB and the Banque de France have been organizing joint scientific events. Since then, a many such events took place: especially the 4th edition of a conference, titled “Green Finance Research Advances”, which took place on 25 November at the Banque de France. AT KEARNEY / ILB This consulting firm and the ILB signed a partnership in 2018 to promote academic research among AT Kearney’s associates and clients. The partnership has given rise to two conferences: such as “Artificial Intelligence and Growth”, or on the continued ultra-low interest rates BNP PARIBAS / ILB The ILB and BNP Paribas have formed a partnership, with the aim of organizing a series of conferences titled “Conversations Avenir”. On these occasions, various individuals come to observe, comment and answer the questions from the younger generation on technological, scientific, social, societal and environmental developments – which are at the heart of the changes taking place in today’s world and that of tomorrow. The Alan Turing Institute / ILB A partnership with the Alan Turing Institute has been established. Created in 2015 by a consortium of UK universities, the Institute brings together its members’ applied research programmes in AI. It recently opened a section on financial applications, linked to the ILB’s FaIR programme. In this context, Charles-Albert Lehalle represented FaIR at the “AI Ethics in the Financial Sector” conference on 16 and 17 July 2019 in London.
