Summary As part of a reflection on the future trajectories of the French electricity system, this study sheds light on the medium-term structural issues. The first part analyzes the main factors of uncertainty that condition the transition of the French electricity sector on the technical, economic and political levels. The second part presents an exploratory analysis of four scenarios for the evolution of the electricity system up to 2030, aiming to evaluate the conditions for the coherence of these trajectories, taking into account the political objectives, and to analyze their capacity to respond to the issues identified in the first part, as well as their resilience with respect to the uncertainty factors that persist.
