FINANCING AND EXTERNALITIES: METHODOLOGIES OF INDUCED CO2 EMISSIONS QUANTIFICATION

Scientific project

The “Financing and externalities: Methodologies of induced CO2 emissions quantification” research initiative was created to develop research on methodologies for assessing the impact of financial institutions on CO2 emissions, but also on other extra-financial factors of the same kind, and in response to the findings to define risk measures related to the consequences of climate change. An initial methodology was developed during the first years of the RI and is now under discussion by researchers of the scientific community concerned. Risk measurement methodologies for financial actors have become an important focus of attention, especially for regulators, following COP21.
