ENERGY TRANSITIONS

Scientific project

The energy sector will have to face numerous challenges in the years to come, the main one being the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve this, it will have to make profound changes, affecting both production and consumption patterns, as well as the way in which prices are organized and formed along the sector’s value chain. At the same time, the policies implemented must ensure that security of supply is maintained, while reducing energy poverty

The objective of this research initiative is to analyse the implementation conditions and the impacts of climate and energy policies around three research axes: the integration of renewables in the electricity and gas systems; pricing, consumer behaviour and new energy usage; balancing out  of tariffs and solidarity between territories.
