Summary The back cover states: "Since the end of the Trente Glorieuses and despite its tradition of asylum and welcome, France has seen immigration as an essentially harmful phenomenon that had to be limited by restrictive policies. These restrictions have prevented the use of labor immigration, thus creating a vicious circle where low diversity, low qualification and low "quantity" of immigration reinforce each other.
