Summary Denis Fougère is an economist and director of research at the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) and the Observatoire Sociologique du Changement (OSC) at Sciences Po. He is co-director of the "Educational Policies" axis of LIEPP with Agnès van Zanten. He devotes his research to the evaluation of public policies, particularly those related to the labor market and the education system. He presents here a study that applies econometric methods to individual data to analyze the educational pathway of a cohort of middle school students who entered the sixth grade in 2007.
