Social capital and health inequalities in developing countries: a case study for Indonesia.

Summary This chapter opens with a thorough review of the literature on the health effects of social capital in a large collection of countries, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. The study includes many innovations and new findings. For example, it finds that inequalities in health opportunities account for 10 per cent of inequalities in health.
