Summary In Economic Prospects for Our Grandchildren, Keynes articulates his reasoning around three themes: economic growth, human occupation, and the love of money. Existing receptions either focus on a specific theme or ignore part of the reasoning. If one considers the entire argument, Keynes in fact offers a critique of capitalism, which gives free rein to the love of money, stimulates utilitarian activities and destroys the possibility of enjoying the abundance it creates.
