Register for the webinar organized by EDHEC-Risk Climate Impact Institute on February 14th to hear from Jean Boissinot, deputy director (financial stability) at Banque de France, Head of the NGFS Secretariat and Louis Bachelier Fellow, about the development of green finance from a macro and policy perspective. Green and sustainable finance has become a mainstream trend in the financial sector. Yet, its role in the transition remains poorly understood and its value is something being questioned. Jean will draw from a first-hand experience in the development of the global policy agenda and his involvement into various private sector initiatives to propose an understanding of what to expect (and what not to expect) from green and sustainable finance.

His talk will draw from his bestselling recent book “La Finance verte”, which seeks to disentangle in green finance what is useful from what is incidental, even fallacious and makes practical recommendations on the concrete way in which the various financial institutions can put themselves at the service of the transition towards carbon neutrality.

Professor David Zerbib, academic director of the MSc Climate Change and Sustainable Finance and Affiliate Member of EDHEC Climate Risk Institute, will moderate the event.

The webinar is part of EDHEC Business School’s “Future of Finance” series organised for the School’s finance masters to all industry professionals and future professionals.
