The PARC Foundation – Paris Agreement Research Commons of the Institut Louis Bachelier, the Banque de France and the Institut de la Finance Durable invite you to the 11th Green Finance Research Advances (GFRA) conference, taking place on 8 and 9 December 2026, at the Banque de France in Paris and online.

This international gathering brings together researchers, regulators and finance professionals to share the latest advances in sustainable finance research and encourage their adoption across the financial sector.

Sustainable finance and the challenges of resilience

How can we finance resilience in a rapidly changing world? The 2026 edition will explore this question through five main themes:

  • Physical climate risks and their financial consequences;
  • Water and nature-related challenges;
  • Energy sovereignty and financing the transition;
  • Sustainable investment amid growing pushback against environmental, social and governance criteria—the “ESG backlash”;
  • The effects of technological and regulatory uncertainty on the transition.

A dialogue between researchers and financial practitioners

Featuring speakers including Agnès Bénassy-Quéré, Laurent Clerc, Natalia Fabra and Ben Groom, the two-day conference will bring together academic and practical perspectives on the challenges facing sustainable finance.

Talks, panel discussions and research sessions will shape the programme. A preliminary programme is already available on the event website: green-finance-research-advances-2026.org.
