The Institut Louis Bachelier (ILB) reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and to promoting diversity and inclusion across its organization. Convinced that equality is a key driver of performance, innovation, and social justice, the Institute embeds these principles at the heart of its values and everyday practices.
This commitment is set against a backdrop of persistent inequalities, particularly in the scientific sector, where women accounted for only around 30% of researchers in France in 2022. Aware of these challenges, the Louis Bachelier Network actively pursues initiatives to foster more balanced representation and identify effective levers for change, not only in academia but also in functions such as administration, communications, and data science.
This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) forms part of a structured and continuous approach to ensuring equal treatment and equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of gender. It also aims to prevent and address potential imbalances, combat discrimination, and promote an inclusive, respectful, and equitable working environment.
Through this plan, the Institute seeks to strengthen the transparency of its practices, integrate gender equality considerations into its internal processes—including recruitment, career development, and governance—and raise awareness of these issues among all staff. The GEP therefore provides a strategic framework for guiding the Institute’s actions and monitoring progress on a regular basis.
In line with its mission and core values, the Institut Louis Bachelier is committed to a process of continuous improvement, supported by concrete actions, measurable indicators, and collective engagement, with the long-term objective of advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion.
