At CFM, and in particular within the EconophysiX Lab (www.econophysiX.com), we are committed to promoting diversity and have launched a dedicated excellence scholarship aimed at encouraging young women researchers in scientific fields where they remain underrepresented.
This is a three-year academic research project in quantitative finance, covering topics such as financial time series modeling, multi-agent simulations, random matrix theory, market microstructure and order book dynamics, market impact, as well as financial instabilities.
You will work with internationally renowned experts within a team that brings together academic researchers and practitioners. While an interest in finance is essential, no prior knowledge in the field is required.
The monthly gross salary is €2,625, which is significantly higher than standard PhD scholarships. Dedicated support will be provided throughout the PhD to facilitate participation in international conferences and summer schools.
Ideal candidate:
• Master’s degree in applied mathematics, theoretical physics, life sciences, or related fields
• Strong intuition, creativity, and rigor, with a keen interest in data analysis and modeling
• Strong analytical and programming skills in Python, C++, or R
• Ability to work effectively in a team
