The paper introduces three archetypes of “ethical investors”: the principled, the utilitarian, and the harmonist, and applies them to a diversified equity portfolio. The findings are compelling: while ethical frameworks have little effect at the overall portfolio level, they can dramatically reshape alignment outcomes in climate-critical sectors.
