The mission of the Risk Foundation (FDR) is to structure, develop, and promote research, teaching, and training in the field of risk in France. It aims to strengthen understanding and awareness of the various types of risks (financial, industrial, environmental, asset-related, and health-related) by fostering a multidisciplinary approach that integrates finance, economics, applied mathematics, and data science.

Its work is based on supporting research and innovation, notably through the creation of centers of expertise, the funding of academic chairs, and the organization of training programs and scientific events. Its ambition is to become a European reference in risk management, by facilitating cooperation between businesses and the academic world, while raising awareness among citizens and decision-makers about the challenges associated with contemporary risks.
