Ten years after the signing of the Paris Agreement, the Green Finance Research Advances (GFRA) conference returns for a landmark edition on 16–17 December 2025 in Paris.
Organised by the Banque de France and the Institut Louis Bachelier, the conference has established itself over the past decade as the leading academic and institutional meeting on green finance, the climate transition, and associated risks.
This year, GFRA is part of the official celebrations of the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement, in coordination with events led by the Élysée. It will be a key moment for collective reflection on the progress achieved and the challenges that remain to sustainably align financial flows with transition objectives.
GFRA 2025 will bring together researchers, regulators and finance professionals from around the world in Paris with a shared objective: understanding how economic science and research can accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
The conference will open on the afternoon of 16 December with a series of high-level sessions featuring international decision-makers, followed by a full day of academic presentations on 17 December, dedicated to the latest advances on climate and transition risks, decarbonisation policies, and financial governance in the post-Paris era.

Ten years after the Paris Agreement, the key issue is no longer just commitments — but the credibility and impact of actions taken.
GFRA 2025 will be an opportunity to assess the role of research, regulation and finance in transforming the global economic system — and to chart, together, the path toward a financial system capable of supporting the transition sustainably.
