The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Nonlinear Stochastic Processes, starting on September 1, 2027.
TSE is an internationally recognized center of scientific excellence. Located in the heart of Toulouse, it is home to approximately 2,500 students and more than 150 faculty members in economics, mathematics, and quantitative social sciences.
TSE researchers develop innovative methods at the intersection of economics, data science, and decision support. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics conducts research in areas including probability, statistics, optimization, game theory, artificial intelligence, and mathematical models applied to economics, finance, and social sciences.
Candidates should have expertise in probability theory, stochastic control, or related areas. Particular interest will be given to research on nonlinear Markov processes, interacting systems, mean-field control and games, and connections with economics, finance, or artificial intelligence.
Applicants must hold a PhD or expect to complete one by June 30, 2027, and demonstrate outstanding research potential and achievements, as well as excellent teaching abilities.
To receive full consideration, candidates should submit the following application materials by January 2, 2027:
