Co-organized by Qant, the Cercle Europe IA & Finance, and the Fondation PARC – Institut Louis Bachelier, this event brought together researchers, public decision-makers, and financial sector actors around a central question: how can artificial intelligence be leveraged as a driver of a more sustainable, sovereign, and responsible economy?

A structuring challenge for finance and AI

The discussions highlighted several key priorities:

  • the development of frugal AI, limiting its environmental impact;
  • the redirection of investment flows toward technologies aligned with the ecological transition;
  • the strengthening of European sovereignty in AI and data;
  • the use of AI and machine learning to improve ESG data analysis and accelerate sustainable finance;
  • the integration of ethical, inclusion, and accountability considerations into AI development models.

A collective reflection led by leading experts

The morning session, moderated by Jean Rognetta (Qant), brought together speakers from the public, academic, and financial sectors, including Marie Brière (Amundi / Institut Louis Bachelier), Arnaud de Bresson (Cercle Europe IA & Finance), Christine Balagué (Institut Mines-Télécom), Viviane Leflaive (KPMG), Antoine Rostand (Kayrros), Peter Tankov (ENSAE), and Guillaume Abel (Mirova), among others.

A long-term conversation

Beyond technical solutions, the event underscored a shared conviction: artificial intelligence has become a strategic tool for steering economic models toward greater sustainability and responsibility.
