2026 AMF "Young Researcher in Economics" Award – Call for Applications

To strengthen its ties with the academic community and encourage research related to financial regulation, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) established a "Young Researcher in Economics" award in 2015. This €5,000 prize recognizes the best research on economic and financial topics of specific interest to the financial markets regulator.

Eligibility requirements:

  • hold a PhD;
  • have a primary affiliation with an institution located in France (university, school, or economic research department) or have obtained a PhD in France;
  • be pursuing a research project in finance relevant to a financial markets regulator;
  • be no older than thirty-five as of December 31, 2025.

The deadline for applications is November 15, 2026. Candidates will be selected by the AMF Scientific Advisory Board and the Authority's departments. The AMF Board, upon the recommendation of the Scientific Advisory Board, will select the winner.

Candidates must submit their application to the AMF at the following email address: conseilscientifique@amf-france.org.

The application must include:

  • a curriculum vitae (including an up-to-date list of publications);
  • proof of age confirming the candidate is under 35 as of December 31, 2025 (copy of ID card or passport);
  • a summary of the thesis (a few pages) along with the defense report;
  • and a maximum of two published articles related to topics of interest to the regulator.
