The Climate Economics Chair (CEC) is co-organising Paris Energy Week 2026, which will take place from 24 to 27 November in Paris. Focusing on the challenges of electrification, this edition will bring together researchers, public institutions, industry leaders, financial stakeholders and civil society representatives.
Through this event, the CEC contributes to dialogue between researchers and those driving the energy transition on the transformation of Europe’s energy system.
By reducing dependence on oil and gas, electrification can help achieve climate targets and strengthen Europe’s resilience to geopolitical and supply shocks.
However, its deployment raises major questions: how can the necessary investments be financed, electricity infrastructure adapted, and businesses and households supported? Over four days, Paris Energy Week will explore these challenges and their implications for competitiveness, climate and energy security.
The programme will address:
Speakers from organisations including the International Energy Agency (IEA), the European Commission, Ember, RTE, EDF and RMI will take part in the discussions.
The Climate Economics Chair is co-organising this edition with emlyon business school, the Jacques Delors Institute, École Polytechnique, Grenoble École de Management and Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs, in partnership with ENGIE.
Events will take place at several venues across Paris: emlyon business school, Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, the Salon des Maires at Porte de Versailles and Sciences Po.
