What will global warming cost the world economy? To explore this question, the DIALog Chair is launching “Invitations DIALog”, a new series of masterclasses and discussions with experts shedding light on major contemporary transformations.
The inaugural session will welcome Adrien Bilal, winner of the 2026 Best Young Economist of France Award and Assistant Professor of Economics at Stanford University, on Thursday, 12 November 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. (Paris time), online.
At the intersection of macroeconomics and climate economics, Adrien Bilal’s research examines the consequences of global warming for economic growth and the role of public policy in addressing them.
During this webinar, he will present “Balancing Growth in a Warming World”, his paper co-authored with Diego Känzig. This research explores the interactions between economic growth, climate damages and emissions reduction policies to better understand the conditions for long-term growth in a warming world.
The session will feature a one-hour presentation, followed by 30 minutes of discussion with participants. It will offer an opportunity to explore the findings in greater depth and discuss their implications for the economy and the green transition.
The DIALog Chair – Digital Insurance and Long Term Risk was established through a partnership between Université Paris Dauphine – PSL and CNP Assurances. Hosted by the Fondation du Risque, within the Institut Louis Bachelier ecosystem, it studies how environmental, demographic and digital transformations affect insurance and long-term risks.
