Insurability of Emerging Risks (CARE)

No items found.

The Chair develops high-level academic research on issues related to climate risks and their management. Its work is structured around three major areas: modeling the severity of climate events, mechanisms for risk coverage and sharing, and prevention strategies.

Beyond research, the Chair aims to be a space for exchange and knowledge dissemination. It organizes open scientific seminars bringing together researchers, academics, regulators, insurance professionals, and the general public. Dedicated tools will make it possible to highlight and make accessible the results of the work to the relevant stakeholders.

The research Chair focuses on analyzing the complex dynamics of financial markets and investment strategies, using advanced mathematical modeling tools and precise data analysis. It explores key topics such as risk management, securitization, credit modeling, and the impact of financial innovations on market stability. The objective is to improve the understanding of the mechanisms underlying financial crises and to propose optimized solutions for more effective risk management. Particular attention is given to optimizing decision-making processes within financial institutions, especially in the context of asset portfolio evaluation and management.

As part of this research, robust economic models are developed to anticipate market trends by integrating macroeconomic and financial variables. The expected results should help improve investment strategies by integrating innovative approaches that take into account volatility and systemic risks. The Chair also follows an approach based on exchange and collaboration with academic researchers and private-sector actors, in order to enrich the work and strengthen the impact of the results obtained.
