The Institute of Water Economics (IEE) aims to bring together researchers working on the economic issues related to water and to foster dialogue between the academic sphere and public and private decision-makers.

Its work is structured around three main areas of study:

• Axis 1: Policies to guide and incentivise investment in the water and sanitation sector
• Axis 2: Social and Environmental Water Pricing
• Axis 3: Performance of water and sanitation public services in the context of climate change
