As running reaches record popularity in France and around the world, climate mobilisation, by contrast, seems to be losing momentum. As the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement approaches, the Run For Climate initiative aims to reverse this trend by combining sport, commitment, and collective action.

Born from the energy of a group of students and young professionals, Run For Climate invites everyone to take action for the climate through two major events:

  • a global connected challenge from 10 to 21 November, held in parallel with COP30 in Brazil, and
  • a 10 km race in Paris on 14 December to celebrate the historic anniversary of the Paris Agreement.

Two challenges, one ambition: supporting climate research

1. The Connected Challenge (10–21 November)

Accessible via the Run For Climate mobile app, this challenge invites participants to walk or run wherever they are in the world.
Every step, every kilometre counts — they are converted into pledges to support scientific climate research through the PARC Foundation, which works toward the concrete implementation of the Paris Agreement.

Beyond individual performance, the challenge gives companies, schools, and institutions a unique opportunity to rally their teams around a shared cause, combining team spirit, health, and environmental engagement.

2. The Paris 10K (14 December)

The highlight of the initiative, the Paris 10 km race will bring together amateur and experienced runners on a timed, festive course.
A sporting, friendly, and meaningful event to celebrate ten years of climate action — and a reminder that every effort counts.

Committed faces behind the movement

At the origin of the project is Lita Marret, member of the PARC Foundation, who wanted to combine her passion for running with her commitment to the climate.
She was soon joined by Nestor Toroman, inspired by the idea of “running for a good cause”.
Together, they embody a generation determined to turn climate anxiety into action-driven energy.

An ecosystem of committed partners

The initiative is supported by several organisations already recognised for their environmental action:

  • Le Bouging, a specialist in connected challenges and workplace wellbeing, offering an engaging and motivating experience to mobilise teams around shared goals.
  • EcoTrail, a pioneer in eco-responsible races and co-author of the “Eco-responsible Race” charter, brings its expertise to ensure environmentally respectful event organisation.
  • The Collège des Directeurs du Développement Durable (C3D), which brings together more than 400 sustainability leaders, fully supports Run For Climate in line with its values of cooperation and concrete action.

Reigniting the spirit of the Paris Agreement

To extend this momentum, the PARC Foundation will organise a full day of conferences on 12 December, the anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement, dedicated to professionals in the transition sector.
The objective: to reignite the spirit of the Paris Agreement, spark a renewed collective drive, and strengthen cooperation in the fight against climate change.

Run, commit, act

Run For Climate is more than a sporting event: it is a call to turn our steps into promises for the future.
Because there is still time to act — and moving for the climate is already a way of changing the world.
