In the context of the Paris Climate Week, the Caisse des Dépôts group and 2° Investing Initiative have the pleasure of inviting you to a full day seminar on “measuring climate performance and carbon risk” taking place on May 19th 2015 from 8:30 to 18:30.

Financial institutions and policy makers are confronted to new challenges regarding the measurement of performance and risk related to the goal of limiting global warming to +2°C:

  • Climate performance: How does a financial institution contribute to financing
    a +2°C world?
  • Carbon risk: What financial risks arise from a transition to a +2°C world?

This seminar seeks to provide financial and policy decision makers alike solutions to address the climate change challenge. The global state of the art of climate performance metrics and risk models for financial institutions will be presented with interventions from over 30 leading organisations (click here for the pre-program).

  • The morning session will explore climate performance metrics for physical and financial assets, as well as financial portfolios. This session will also involve a roundtable focused on low-carbon indices.
  • The afternoon session will focus on risk metrics at the different levels of the investment chain.

This technical event will precede the Climate Finance Day on 22nd May 2015, where leading asset owners will discuss their low carbon strategies.

Registration to this event is free. Access will be granted on the basis of a confirmation post-registration within the limits of available seats.
