Alexis Collomb et Klara Sok (CNAM) présenteront leur article, accompagnés d’un panel de professionnels.

The Blockchain, a distributed ledger technology (DLT) that supports the Bitcoin protocol, has drawn a lot of attention over the past months because of its many potential applications across industries in general, and for financial institutions and markets in particular. This workshop will focus on providing financial professionals and academics alike with a synopsis of state-of-the-art initiatives on this constantly evolving subject, presenting them guidelines for separating the hype from the real, and policy recommendations.

It will specifically focus on two related and important topics: (i) how DLT is likely to impact the current infrastructure of financial markets, and more specifically its post-trade processes; (ii) how DLT could be used for facilitating the financing of the economy and assisting monetary policy.

Bitcoin/Blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies (DLT): what consequences for the financial industry and its capital markets infrastructure?
