The Louis Bachelier "Finance and Sustainable Growth" Laboratory promotes a long-term model associating economic activity, theoretical research and government action. This international research network is the result of a strong cooperation between the Institut Louis Bachelier, the Europlace Institute of Finance and the Fondation du Risque.
 
Description


Postdoctoral fellowships are designed to attract qualified, promising scientists entering their career in the Finance research field, especially in topics concerning Finance and Sustainable Growth, Longevity Risks, Risks and Regulation or Behavioral Finance. The funding is granted for a period of 2 years. The demand can concern a complete funding, or half a funding completed by another half funding provided by one of the research programs labelled by the Institut Louis Bachelier.

 
Eligibility


The fellowships are intended for those in a relatively early stage of their career. Ordinarily, their PhD degree will have been received no more than 2 years before the fellowship. There are no citizenship requirements in this program.

 
Research plan


The research plan should be suitable for a three year postdoctoral training period. The project should ask a specific and substantive question with in line a publication in an international refereed journal. The research plan may not exceed 7 pages including tables and figures.

PAPER SUBMISSION 

The application has to be sent to cyril.armange@institutlouisbachelier.org . It must include:

  • A recent curriculum vitae with links to the PhD thesis and the research papers;
  • The research plan;
  • A letter from the director of the research laboratory accepting to host the applicant for the next 2 years and mentioning the corresponding Louis Bachelier chair;
  • If a semi-postdoc is demanded, a letter from the head of the chair ensuring the financing of the second semi-postdoc.
