Quick description

WCMC is the UN program for biodiversity. The WCMC develops various biodiversity-related data-sets (Protected Areas; Dry Forest; Human pressures on biodiversity, water and carbon; Global Distribution of Seagrasses and Coral Reefs; Hotspots of potential natural capital depletion in marine environments; etc.). Also, they run the ENCORE (Exploring Natural Capital Opportunities, Risks and Exposure) tool, which helps users better understand and visualise the impact of environmental change on the economy.
